  • District 50 Healthy Food Program to be Recognized

    District 50’s commitment to ensuring that all students eat healthy meals has caught the eye of leaders in Washington, D.C. Next week the Under Secretary of the Department of Agriculture will visit Westminster Elementary School to eat breakfast with students and experience the Culinary Services Department cooking first hand.

  • Preschool Registration
     
    We are now accepting complete preschool registration packets for the 2013-2014 school year. Registration times are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you have any questions please contact the office at 303-428-2494.

  • Attention Parents!

    ·        As an additional safety precautionwe have implemented the following policy. The front doors to the school willremain locked until 8:30a.m. All students, parents and school visitors will bedirected to the North Doors. A staff member will be sitting at the North Doorsso that they can observe who will be coming and going. Students will receivelate passes after 8:10 from the staff member at the north doors. At 8:30 wewill lock the north doors and open the main doors. The purpose of this processit to have a single open entry point to the school throughout the day.

  • Student Pick-up
     
    Due to the need for increased student safety procedures, we will be changing the way that we conduct afternoon pickup. Parents will be required to meet their student on the grass outside the north doors to the school. Teachers will be signing out students to their parents each day.
     
    Bus students will be escorted to the bus by building staff members. Students     may not walk to their parents’ cars in the parking lot – they must be handed off to a parent at the designated pickup location that will be marked by a cone with the teacher’s name.

  • Late Students
     
    Students that arrive late to school, after 8:10am must stop at the north doors and obtain a late pass to class.

  • School Visitors
     
    All school visitors, including parents, need to sign-in in the office and get a visitors sticker before proceeding to their destination.
