| Please check with your individual school for registration dates and hours. All families, new and existing, need to fill out registration forms in their entirety. The district is using a new student/parent communication system so it is important that District 50 have complete and accurate information. Students need to provide: State-issued birth certificate or valid passport Immunization Records Proof of address (Must have parent or guardian name printed on them; acceptable proof: mortgage, lease, utility bill) |

| Colorado law recognizes that parents have the primary right and obligation to choose the proper education and training for children under their care and supervision. If you are intersted in home schooling your child visit the Home Schooling in Colorado information page. Schooling Requirements for Home School Instruction: 1. Instruction must include but is not limited to communication skills of reading, writing, speaking, mathematics, history, civics, literrature, science, and regular courses of instruction in the Constitution of the United States. (CRS: 22-33-104.5) 2. You are responsible for providing your children with curriculum and textbooks (CRS: 22-33-104.5) 3. Permanent records must be maintained; they must include, but are not limited to, attendance data, test or evaluation results and immunization records. (CRS: 22-33-104.5) Testing Requirements for Home School Students: To evaluate you student's acedemic progress, a nationally standardized achievement test must be administered once your student reaches the equivalant ages for grades 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 (CRS: 22-33-104.5). Once testing is completed the results must be submitted to Adams County School District 50 or an independent school in the state of Colorado. You are welcome to contact the school your child would attend and arrange for testing to be administered. This testing will take place during the school's normal testing window. If you choose to Home School your student you must complete the Annual Notification of Intent to Home School form each year. By submitting this form you take full and complete responsibility for your child's education. Adams County School District 50 will not supply curriculum or materials for your child. | School Choice Information |
Adams County School District 50 policy allows students who live outside District 50 boundaries to choice into the District (inter-choice) tuition free, or if they already live in the District 50 boundaries to choice into another school in the district (intra-choice). It should be noted that decisions are made in consultation with the school principal and when space is limited, priority is given to students who reside in the 1) assigned school boundary (home school) and 2) within District 50 boundaries. Transportation is not provided for any student applying for a Choice school. Please fill out the application and submit to the office of the school your child is interested in attending.
